SYMBOLISM/ CB
Symbols are a whole dimension and part of our thinking ability can tap into this rich source of inspiration and information. Creating in a state of light trance, either just waking up or listening to hypnotic music such as traditional Indian tabla, allows a creative experience very similar to the dreaming process…
SYMBOLISM / JOURNEY. If incarnation is an opportunity for the soul to evolve faster; the soul will continually encounter the same situations and patterns until it can finally break free of them and melt into the light. Caroline Bergonzi views life through this lens, as it conveys adventure, exploration, and discovery. In this context, every breakdown provides access to a potential breakthrough, and every life is a hero’s journey. As travelers, we sometimes meet allies as well as demons, and both teach us much about ourselves. Perspective and clarity allow us to see the path, but keep us from feeling fully alive. There is an emphasis on form and movement, and the relationship between extremes of light and shadow. Bergonzi often uses polyptych paintings to depict successive phases in relationships, which mirror cycles in nature.
