AREA 4 : CREATIVE COACHING
I BELIEVE THAT ART CAN HEAL.
Imagine a world where you can let go and live really fully, where you can scream, scratch, punch, break, tear, push, pull, burn, play, and anger is not something that makes you “out of your mind,” but something that you tame into creativity. If art is a physical representation of our inner world, the act of creating, physically making, is a way to achieve emotional resolution, at the core of our psyche, beyond the verb and through symbols.
Mirroring the harmony of our contrasts, we can reach, through questions and challenges, from confrontation to liberation, from conversing to dancing with the elements, an emotional resolution.
Beyond basic instructions and attentive observation, the process is instinctive, nonverbal, individual and authentic. In this digital age, nothing compares to rolling up one’s sleeves to dive into the creative dimension, while creating an image or a unique object. More than a precious self-expression, creating is a form of meditation, a path to mindfulness, a playful mobilization of the mind, feeling calm yet fully alive. We see the Tibetan Monks spend hours composing very complex mandalas with multicolor sand, to finally sweep the whole thing once they completed it.
Last but not least, allowing creativity in one’s life, no matter what form and shape it is for you, is a great call for daily discipline and stubborn positivity when it is so tempting to surrender to the sinister context and doomed world we are told we live in.
