PORTRAITS / LIVE SESSION
Our goal is to capture the resemblance, spark of life and uniqueness of a face and presence.
The first session is about watching and learning about the subject. Depending on what we want to achieve in terms of technique and size, from face to shoulders or the upper body including hands, we set up a plan of action and schedule an appropriate number of sessions.
Portrait painting are always about the individual, either it is commissioned by a person, a family or a professional organization - firm, corporation, school, foundation... Portrait paintings and drawings immortalize a moment, a state, a person. They are a powerful way to honor someone, and make wonderful gifts that will be treasured for generations.
As the best portraiture involves a true connection between artist and subject, we prefer to work in person. However we are open to creating portraits from photographs.
Our portrait painting service can be commissioned by organizations such as corporations and foundations or private individuals. PORTRAIT PAINTING OIL PAINTING
- Five to seven 4 hour-session live portrait of the subject's face, torso, and hands, est. 30"x30" (about 70x70 cm)
- Three or four 4 hour-session of live portrait of the subject's face, est. 20"x16"
SIMPLE PORTRAIT “DRAWING”
- One 3-hour live portrait session, est. 11” x 17” - charcoal
- One 4-hour live portrait session, est. 16” x 20” - oil paint monochrome "grisaille"
