ABOUT

Caroline Bergonzi is an artist issue of a long lineage Monaco family, with ancestors in Cremona Italy, violinmakers at the time of Stradivarius. Initiated to various art disciplines by her grandfather, she, later on, surrendered to her vocation, the Arts, in New York. The gigantic anonymous rough and busy hive is where she found the human diversity, energy, and resources to fuel her complex mind. From one medium to the next, she lead a perpetual creative exploration, and her developments extended beyond paintings and sculpting, into a line of art jewelry and a 400-page art book on the creative process.

She dedicated her life to her work, and her work inspires: she was invited to participate in the Shanghai World Expo, talked in panels at the United Nations and the UNESCO, had a multitude of exhibitions including 2 retrospectives (2012 and 2019), and large metal installations on public sites. An active member of several artists’ groups, she curated (selecting and promoting) other artists’ works, in New York, Monaco, and even across the Atlantic.

In 2020, the pandemics interrupted her fast-paced life and brought her back to the Principality of her ancestors. The shock, void, and time she faced allowed a reassessment of her perspective and skills. Growing up, this born artist had shown a great interest in studies, bet on the safety of maths, and walked the entrepreneur grounded path of business school and postgraduate program, in Paris. She fluently speaks French, English, and Italian, and her passion for communication extended to studying neuro-linguistics.

In 2021, she registered her activity as Art Consultant, to combine her creative and managerial skills to offer her services. Her next mission was to spend five months successfully managing and reinventing the concept of Private Sales Gallery for the worldwide group Sotheby’s, in Monaco through daily improvized teamwork with the offices of London, Paris, Switzerland, and New York.
